Hi, and welcome to Eagle Vision‘s The Visual Pulse August Edition,

While headlines focus on record-high rents and housing affordability challenges, the real takeaway for property and development this August is opportunity. Across both the residential and commercial sectors, new opportunities continue to emerge as market forces reshape today’s development pipeline.

Meanwhile, planning reforms, precinct transformations such as a major redevelopment of the Bondi Junction in Sydney, and new buyer incentives are helping pave the way for increased housing supply.

The latest Building Activity Australia Report from ABS was also released in July and includes interesting data on national construction activity, housing completions, and more.

Proposed Signboard on Warrigal Rd, Chadstone

This month’s featured project is a proposed electronic promotion sky sign on Warrigal Road, Chadstone, for which we created a series of visualisations.

Our focus was on capturing the sign’s scale, visibility, and dynamic presence in its arterial-road context.

And the best news of all, the application to overturn the council’s refusal was successful in VCAT, so we’re thrilled for our clients who have been through an arduous process to get here.

Laughter and Loops: Our Family Day Out at Cebu Fun Park!

To end this month’s newsletter, I’m sharing a fun personal memory from my family’s latest adventure! In my short story, “Laughter and Loops: Our Family Day Out at Cebu Fun Park!”, I wrote about the unforgettable day we spent celebrating my daughter’s 5th birthday at Cebu’s newest night carnival.

For anyone who wants to visit Cebu, Philippines, and is looking for a fresh, high-energy adventure, Cebu’s newest open-air night carnival is the absolute place to be! Nestled right by the ocean next to the massive SM Seaside, Cebu Fun Park is a vibrant wonderland that brings a burst of retro-carnival energy to the city. We headed down to this neon-lit playground on July 11, 2026, to celebrate a massive milestone, our youngest child’s 5th birthday. Arriving just as the gates opened at 3:00 PM (it runs until 10:00 PM) was a brilliant move, letting us beat the fierce daytime tropical heat, catch the cool evening sea breezes, and watch the entire park transform into a glittering sea of lights under the stars.

Determined to make it a landmark birthday, we decided to tackle every single ride in the park. My eldest son, eldest daughter, and I kicked things off by conquering Cebu’s longest and largest slide, a massive rush that had our hearts racing as we flew down together. Meanwhile, our birthday boy was thoroughly enjoying himself as he explored the children’s rides, particularly the bouncing Mickey Mouse jumping mountain. We also braved the classic Viking ship ride, which practically threw us sky-high into the air, a thrill so intense we honestly thought we were going to lose our lunch and vomit! To calm our nerves after that near-disaster, we gathered the whole crew to wind down on the Crystal Ride and the Air Cruiser, which offered a gorgeous panoramic view of the skyline and coastline.

The undisputed highlight of the night, however, was the Disco Spin ride, which was a riot of pure comedy. As the enormous disc rotated and propelled us in every direction, the entire audience was lying flat on the ground, overcome with uncontrollable laughter; I even lost my grip on the safety railing and found myself desperately clinging to my husband’s leg for dear life! While the rest of us screamed and clung to our seats, my eldest son remained completely composed, casually enjoying the music and the motion. It was an incredibly memorable, hilarious day well spent and an absolute must-visit if you are looking for fun in Cebu!

We’d love to hear what you think of this edition, and I hope you enjoy reading The Visual Pulse!

Cheers!
