Hi, and welcome to June,
Winter is upon us, but we’re feeling warmed up because developers are finally returning to work now that the election is over. March and April were waiting-out months as lots of uncertainty abounded, but with the decision finally resolved, the way forward seems more straightforward.
Based on my conversations over the last few weeks, the promise of possible future interest rate cuts and Melbourne is now seen as undervalued (even though the punitive tax environment is still very much at play).
Whether this optimism leads to better results remains to be seen, but at least a little more stability is settling in. Town planners and planning lawyers are still seeing many developments in Melbourne reach compromises in consultation meetings, thus avoiding a full VCAT hearing, which costs hundreds of thousands of dollars.
In our news, we’ve just kicked off marketing imagery for a significant masterplanned community development in Brisbane’s south – the developer had taken over 2 years to navigate the pitfalls of objections from neighbours and other issues – but it’s finally getting started, so we’re excited to deliver world class imagery for this brilliant project. And lots of cool AI to video projects are planned – Veo2 and Kling are really taking the industry by storm, with many other artificial intelligence tools becoming more useful as supplements to the CGI work that we produce.

Verdure at McLaren Flat
This month’s featured project is Verdure at McLaren Flat, a lifestyle-focused development set in the heart of South Australia’s wine country. Surrounded by rolling hills and ocean views, the site offered a stunning canvas for our visualisation work.
Using a strong design brief and cinematic drone footage, we crafted imagery that blends sleek modern architecture with the natural beauty of the landscape—capturing not just structures, but the feeling of future community living.

Yuliya Klymenko Exhibition at SALA
I want to share something close to my heart.
On 2 July, I opened my art exhibition Colours of Ukraine at the City of Prospect as part of South Australia’s Refugee Week. This isn’t just an exhibition — it’s a piece of my journey.
When the war started, I made the difficult decision to leave home. Like many Ukrainian women, I had to rebuild from scratch. This exhibition is dedicated to all the women who had to start over — who kept going, adapting, and staying strong even when everything changed.
The portraits I paint reflect that quiet strength. I use traditional Ukrainian symbols — floral crowns, embroidery, folk patterns — to honour where we come from and the stories we carry.
And here’s something even more personal: I used to love painting, but I stopped for nearly 12 years. Life got busy, work took over, and I never had the time. But when I moved to Adelaide, something changed. I picked up a brush again — and everything came rushing back. Sharing my artwork publicly is emotional, healing, and honestly, a little scary.
If you’re in Adelaide, I’d love for you to come and see it.

All the best for your month ahead,
