Stan Zaslavsky

Hi, and welcome to May,

The last month has been an absolute rocketship for us – 4 VCAT projects were submitted amongst a range of marketing visualisation projects that started up. And pretty excited to be nearly complete on a major build-to-rent Revit 3D model that we’ve been working on for the last 7 months – the federated model was delivered for the tender process and was being used across all consultants to check and extract information as required.

So while some in the industry are feeling a quieter time approaching, it seems that in our space – there is more and more activity. The general mood from developers that we’re speaking with is mostly upbeat as they are expecting that times will improve over the next 12-18 months even though there is quite a bit of turbulence right now – both politically and economically.

Here are some of the interesting articles that we’ve come across in the last little while:

Land Pioneers Podcast – From Immigrant to Billion-Dollar Land Developments

Last month we released the third episode of the Land Pioneers Podcast – featuring a friend of mine, whose inspiring journey I’ve been privileged to witness over the last 20 years of becoming a billion-dollar land estate developer. Khurram Saeed’s story is an inspiring example of how hard work, vision, and a strong desire to succeed can change lives and build communities.

Growing up in housing commission flats for about eight years and facing the challenges of being an immigrant in Australia, Khurram learned early on the importance of hard work and determination.

Check out his story here.

Feature Expert – Buying Land in SA – Where in SA?

In the second episode on Buying Land in South Australia, we explore the geography and where James feels the growth opportunities are. He discusses the dynamics of South Australia’s property market and reveals the key strategic insights that are propelling how South Australia has been such a stellar performer since 2021.

Meet the Team – Yuliya Klymenko

Last month, we also celebrated the two-year anniversary of Yuliya joining our team. It’s been an absolutely transformational journey for our business and for Yuliya’s family.

Watch the video above to learn more about her journey to Australia and how they escaped the war in Ukraine in 2022.

In Yuliya’s words – “Just sharing my experience of arriving in Australia. The last two years were like a roller coaster. But at the same time, these two years changed my life completely, I’ve learned a lot and gained new skills. Happy to share my story.”

And in my news, I’m super proud to have completed my second-ever Ironman 70.3 triathlon. It was very challenging – from having to deal with a flat bike tyre through to wet and rainy conditions which made things even more interesting – for those that want to know more, there’ll be a blog in a future edition.

Have a brilliant month ahead and look forward to your comments,
